Just a little update

Howdy folks.
Just thought I would update while I am sitting here on a rainy day in London. I am being trained at work constantly now, doing day courses, two day courses etc. It is a good sign, means I am getting closer to being able to ask for a promotion, which I am thinking I give 6 months, if I don't get one, I am gone. I know that isn't a long time, but if you saw some of the people that are above me, you wouldn't blame me. Hmm, well a good raise would keep me there as well I suppose. So, I am looking for a part time job to supplement my income while I am trying to get off the ground. Also, going to start looking for a new place to live. There is one roommate that I absolutely cannot stand, so... I will move. I know the other roommates don't like him, but I know he won't move until the 6 months are up, and I just have no patience right now (as you can tell I am sure hehe).

As you can see, I am spending alot of time trying to change things as they stand right now. Sometimes I find that is the best thing to do when you are bored. Work is the best thing right now, I would rather work 7 days a week than do pretty much anything else. Why you ask? Well, I am not actually sure, it's not like I am a workaholic by nature or anything. Hmm, this is a very strange post, I am reading it and wondering what the hell I wanted to say... not too much apparently. Well folks, thanks for all the comments this time around, good to know that you are out there reading this stuff :) Oh, Kim, if you want, you could always stop by England on your way to Italy ;) If not, I hope I get some pics!!!!

So sits,

Hey crazy!!

You have got to learn to enjoy what you are doing every minute of your life! I really hope you do get a promotion as i'm sure you deserve it, but don't be so ready to quit if it doesn't come in 6 months. I thought you were enjoying your job........so enjoy it until you find your job in art. I'm sure you will find one and any boss would be lucky to have you!

Well, take care and miss you

Well now, first time I have posted into my own comments, but I feel like I should for this. I am enjoying my life, but as the new study has shown, I am a Yeppy, yes a yeppy. It is what our generation has been quoted as: no longer are there yuppies, but the new version are people who are looking to satisfy themselves and be happy. Not driven by money as much as by happiness. They end up wandering, changing careers etc more than past generations. Wow, sums me up!!!! Sign me up!!! There ya go. My sociological answer to why I am the way I am ;)

Woah, Yeppies. That's a new word. So you say that "Yeppies" are out to satisfy themselves? Sounds kind of like teenagers that hit puberty... ha! :)

Well, regarding the work situation the only advice I have is my motto. That motto is, Pete, to just give'r. (to the movie geeks, that motto is inspired by the movie "Fubar") Peace.

Sincerely,

Burtonium

I don't blame you Pete. Don't settle for something if they're not paying you enough, or it isn't your dream job. Just make sure you find a better job before you quit, hehe.

As for me, I'm going the Yuppy route. I took up golfing this Summer and everything, heh.

Hey
Just wanted to clarify..........i never said to settle. I would never want to see you unhappy. I hope as much as everyone that you find your dream job. Just try to be happy along the way.........and give things some time. I was never thinking about money.....only about you being the happiest you can be!!!
